Walk & Hike  FAQS

Q: How does this work?

A. You must contact us by phone, email  or set up your client portal and request a meet and greet. Meet and greets are COMPLIMENTARY AND REQUIRED. 


Virtual Meet and Greets (VIA phone call, Zoom or Google DUO) are available for those uncomfortable with meeting in person at this time. 

Q. Will I have a the same Walker Each time I book?

A. Though we Set you up with a PRIMARY Walker; Our ENTIRE staff works as a team which means another staff member will be backup in case of an unexpected event and on scheduled days off. By Working this way, our clients NEVER have to scramble for coverage, We always Have someone available to step in an unexpected event and for a last minute requests! 

Q. How Long Will our Walk be?

A: Each walk is 30, 45 or 60 Minutes depending on your preference. Hikes are 60- 75 Minutes out walking on the trails OR approximately 1.5 hours from when we pickup your dog to when we return your dog. 

Q . How are the dogs walked?

A.We are only offering private, ON LEASH walks and Hikes at this time.

Are you Insured?

A: Yes We are Bonded and Insured through Pet sitters Associates.

Q. Do you Charge more if I have multiple Dogs that need walks?

A.Our Fees are PER Walk and we will walk up to 3 dogs from the same house at 1 time.

Therefore the only time you would see extra charges for multiple dogs would be If you have more than 3 dogs or if you need Dogs walked separately (I.e. Multiple walks) 

Q. How Will You get into My home?

A. You have several Options to choose From:

We Can Provide a Lock box to be kept on site

You can provide a Hidden Key left Onsite

You can Provide 2 Copies of a Key of us to retain in our office

Or you can provide a garage or Door Code.

OR Any Combination of above!

We do Not Accept App Locks that require permissions such as August as We need the ability to send a backup sitter in the event of an emergency. 

Q. What Payment Types Do you accept?

Credit/Debit Card On File

Card on File is REQUIRED to book 

Card on File will be charged automatically weekly 

 (unless you have bought packages or prepaid monthly).

Checks Made out to 

Lake Country K9 to 5 LLC

(Card is Still required on file to pay via check or zelle) 

$50 Fee + Original Invoice will be charged to card for Any Bounced checks. If card Payment Fails; Invoice will be sent to collections and No further services will be rendered until paid in full) 


We NO Longer Accept Cash, PayPal, or Venmo.

Q. When Is Payment due for Walks?

Clients Have 4 Options for Payment:

  1. Prepaid Packages - Use as needed. expires if not used within 90 days of purchase. 
  2. Invoiced Weekly: Card on file will be automatically charged every Friday for that weeks completed walks (unless other payment arrangements have been pre-discussed) 
  3. Invoiced Monthly: Best for clients that know their schedule in advance and dont want to be charged multiple times each month. Invoices are sent out on the 25th and Due on or before the 1st of the following month.
  4. Monthly Pass Subscriptions: Subscriptions are available for clients that need 5 walks per week Mon-Fri, every week of every month; this is a use it or loose it type program. Card On File Will be Automatically Charged when your pass balance Reaches 0; this will renew your pass.  (Unless or until a cancellation of service request is Received) Subscription MUST be Requested- This is NOT an option clients can choose on their end of the portal!

Q. Do you offer any other Discounts/Specials?

A. Yes! 

We  Offer a Referral Credit. For each Person you Refer, that Books and Completes at least 1 walk you receive a Credit for 2 FREE walks and they get their Second Walk Free! 


Referral MUST Use your name at our initial Consultation and Book and pay for their first walk in order to receive credits. 

Q: Are there Cancellation Fees for Cancelled Walks?

YES.

Cancellation Must Be Received by 10 pm The night prior to your Scheduled walk to Avoid $10 Cancellation fee.

Further, If you fail to cancel before your walker shows up, you will be charged in full regardless they walk your dog or not.

All Cancellation Fees are paid DIRECTLY to your walker to cover their lost wages. 

Q: Do you Walk on Weekends and Holidays and is there an additional fee? 

YES.

 However; We need 24 hours Notice for weekend (Saturday/Sunday) Booking requests AND  An additional $7.00 Holiday Fee Per visit applies to each visit booked during the following dates:

  • Memorial Day Weekend (May 22- 26th 2020)
  • 4th of July Weekend (July 3rd- 6th 2020)
  • Labor Day Weekend (Sept 4th- 8th 2020)
  • The Day Before Thanksgiving through the day after thanksgiving (Nov 25th- November 26th 2020)
  • Christmas Eve- through the day after Christmas December 24th- December 26th 
  • New Years eve - New Years Day December 31st & January 1st 2021
